Air Source Heat Pump Systems

Air Source Heat Pumps are an extremely efficient means of cost effectively providing heating, cooling and domestic hot water to any application.

However the specification and design of the Commercial Air Source system is critical in ensuring that the performance of the system meets the demands of the project.

We provide a range of equipment which gives efficient performance along with the benefit of a cost effective installation.
Air Source Heat Pumps are available from 5kW to over 1,000kW with heating, cooling and hot water options available to give complete flexibility.

A central system or a modular zoned approach can be applied to the design of the installation to meet the requirements of any size of application. The water based system which is at the heart of the Heat Pump installation can give real benefits to the user when a comparison is drawn with conventional refrigerant based VRF or VRV air conditioning / heating systems.
The main environmental benefits with a Heat Pump system are that the risk of refrigerant leaks is reduced considerably as there is no high pressure refrigerant pipework external to the packaged heat pump and the refrigerant system volume is significantly reduced.
In summary all the refrigeration components are packaged within the self contained Heat Pump enclosure, the only connections required are water to feed the internal air handling units or fan coils and electrics for supply and control. This reduced system refrigerant volume is clearly beneficial when considering the F Gas Regulations and its implications on the user.

Commercial Air Source Heat Pumps can be applied to a variety of projects with real benefits:

• Retail applications

  Install a water based system to give a simple installation to provide heating, air-conditioning and domestic hot water. A self contained Air Source Heat Pump connected via insulated flexible pipes to the internal fan coils and thermal store gives a very practical and efficient installation with units available up to 40kW.

• Hospitality applications.

  Restaurants, bars and hotels are ideal applications for Commercial Air Source Heat Pumps due to the amount of domestic hot water available. These units provide hot water simultaneously when the unit is also producing either air conditioning or heating. This means that the business does not require any other form of primary heating for either hot water or heating in addition to the Heat Pump.

• Commercial Office applications.
