The HPT Thermacell Exhaust Air Heat Pump unit provides a solution to three different applications:

  1. An efficient & simple hot water & heating solution for smaller housing units & apartments
  2. A highly efficient modular system to provide dedicated hot water production for larger residential applications with solar input
  3. A means of efficiently and easily providing hot water to light commercial applications with 100% heat recovery, positioned within the kitchen or utility area

The Thermacell Heat Pump takes waste air from the property i.e. the bathroom and kitchen areas and utilises this waste heat to provide domestic hot water with the option of heating via a wet distribution system.

The unit incorporates either a 185 or 285 litre cylinder and has a nominal capacity of 1.7kW provided via the inbuilt Air Source Heat Pump with the benefit an additional 3kW of supplementary boost electric heating which gives an overall nominal capacity of 4.7kW.

The Thermacell unit incorporates a 1.7kW Air Source Heat Pump with a COP of 3.4 based on nominal conditions with a noise level of 35dba and a maximum water temperature of 55ºC (65ºC with supplementary electrical boost heating).

The Thermacell in Brief:

Exhaust Air Heat Pumps- How They Work?

Exhaust Air Heat Pumps- How They Work?

Heat energy is collected from the waste exhaust air extracted from within the building or alternatively collected via a mix of internal Exhaust Air and external ambient air dependant on the application. This heat energy is then transferred into high grade domestic hot water with the option of also providing high grade heat within the building.
