Welcome to PV & Heat Pump Technology

Renewable Energy
Ground Source, Air Source and Geothermal Heat Pumps
Residential Heat Pumps are a tremendous way to heat your home and provide domestic hot water in a cost effective and sustainable way. Renewable Energy and carbon reduction is an ever growing concern for most homeowners.

Massive reductions in Carbon can be achieved using residential Heat Pumps and significant cost savings can also be achieved by reducing fuel consumption.

If you have a desire to use sustainable renewable energy or reduce your heating bills and you are looking at the options available then a residential Heat Pump should be your first consideration.

Green & Co Renewables Ltd provide DeLonghi-Climaveneta Heat Pumps on an exclusive basis with our approved supplier, via a network throughout the UK & Ireland. In addition a range of additional equipment and services are also provided which compliment the Heat Pump system whilst also providing a complete turnkey approach to renewable energy projects.

This high quality range of equipment is supported by a complete service from specification to post installation service. We have applied our six step service approach at every stage of a project.

The Green & Co Renewables - Six step service approach.

We provide a six step approach to service delivery from initial enquiry to an on-going relationship in future years.
The Green & Co - Six step service approach
Step 1 - Understand each customers ‘needs and requirements.
Step 2 - Carry out a detailed site survey and assessment.
Step 3 - Provide a complete proposal with recommendations and options.
Step 4 - Nominate a dedicated account manager to ensure pre delivery information. Requirements are met and timescales are achieved.
Step 5 - Provide project installation support and a full commissioning package.
Step 6 - Ensure that on-going service is provided and annual maintenance requirements are understood and achieved.

Green & Co Renewables - Choices
All the equipment offered by Green & Co is selected to achieve a very high level of manufacturing quality and an equally high level of performance. This diligence in terms of offering a package of equipment which sits at the higher end of the Heat Pump market allows us to provide high quality equipment and service in a package which represents excellent value for money.

The Delonghi-Climaveneta range of Heat pumps gives great flexibility of choice and features:

  •  Air Source Heat Pumps...Heating only.
  •  Air Source Heat Pumps...Heating and Cooling.
  •  Air Source Heat Pumps...Heating and Cooling and Domestic Hot Water(DHW).
  •  Ground Source Heat Pumps...Heating only.
  •  Ground Source Heat Pumps...Heating and Cooling.
  •  Ground Source Heat Pumps...Heating and Cooling and Domestic Hot Water (DHW).
  •  (Geothermal options available).

This choice of three types of each unit gives the ability to offer significant operational benefits. For example – DHW option:

  • Run the Heat Pump with water at 40 degrees C for underfloor heating or 12 degrees C for cooling, BUT also have a continuous supply of Domestic Hot Water at +60 degrees C at the same time (DHW).

Why is this important? Because the Heat Pump can run very efficiently at a lower temperature of 40 degrees for underfloor heating or be running in cooling mode for air conditioning and also supply +60 degree C hot water at the same time. This allows larger users of domestic hot water to have a dedicated supply of domestic hot water at any time which gives Heat Pump efficiency savings and convenience benefits to the user. This feature can be important to larger properties as the efficiency of Heat Pumps increases when the unit is running at lower water temperatures, using this DHW option the unit runs very efficiently at low temperature (40 degrees C) with a high COP whilst still providing +60 degree C domestic hot water simultaneously, therefore very efficient running with the benefit of the DeLonghi DHW system to give higher temperature hot water. The unit uses the refrigeration system to give this DHW feature and not electric heaters. These are single compressor units that utilise the features of the refrigeration circuit to achieve the delivery of two simultaneous high and low water temperatures. This is just one example of DeLonghi efficiency being used to create real operational benefits for the user. Design and technical development are two key areas that DeLonghi excels in. This European manufactured range of Heat Pumps is built to give real ease of use and operational benefits as illustrated in the above example.

Photovoltaic (PV) panels can be mounted on a roof or ground mounted. Ideally the roof will be south facing, or near to at an angle of 30 degrees with the horizontal for optimum performance.

The panels produce DC electricity, so a small inverter will be fitted inside the house, to change the DC into AC. A wall mounted display unit will allow you to check on performance and usage of your system. The benefits of PV solar panels are:

These are just a few of the considerations why PV panels are a wise choice.

Solar Photovoltaic panels (PV) These solar panels produce electricity from daylight through a process called photovoltaic's (PV solar panels) "Photo" refers to light and "voltaic" to electricity. Photons are converted to electrons and those same photons penetrate clouds allowing the system to work even on cloudy and overcast days.

Domestic Photovoltaic or PV solar panels for domestic consumption with your surplus energy sold to the National Grid network with a feed-in tariff. £2,500 installation grants are still available, but only until April 2010. Feed-in tariffs will increase to a generous 36.5p per Kwh in April 2010. Current £2,500 grants are still available but it is anticipated that funds will run out late in 2010, so be quick to take advantage and get both the new and old incentives. Be aware that the new feed-in prices will be reduced by 7% in annual stages as take up is increased so for Mr and Mrs average, it will be more beneficial to install sooner than later.
